Step-by-Step Guide

1
Switch Off the Fridge

Turn off the fridge before checking inside. This makes it safer to inspect and clean the area where water is collecting.

2
Clean the Leaked Water

Wipe all the water from inside the fridge and from the floor underneath. This helps you clearly see where the new water is coming from.

3
Check the Drain Hole Inside

Look for the small drain hole at the back inside wall of the fridge. If it is blocked, water cannot flow out properly and starts leaking inside. Pour a little warm water to clear it gently.

4
Check if the Door is Closing Properly

If the fridge door is not closing tightly, warm air enters inside and creates extra moisture, which later turns into water leakage.

5
Turn It On and Watch for New Leakage

Switch the fridge back on and monitor it for the next 20 to 30 minutes. If water starts collecting again, the blockage may be deeper and technician help may be needed.

Success Tip

Clean the drain hole regularly and make sure the fridge door closes tightly to prevent water leakage.
